Terms & Conditions

Validity and Changes to the Terms and Conditions

The following Terms and Conditions (“T&Cs”) are part of the transport contract concluded with us. By purchasing a ticket, the customer agrees to the application of these T&Cs, which become an integral part of the contractual relationship.

We expressly reject any counter-confirmations, counteroffers, or references to your own terms and conditions. Deviating terms shall only apply if confirmed by us in writing.

The current version of these T&Cs is available online, displayed in the ticket office areas, and can be provided in printed form upon request.

Prices, Contract Conclusion and Scope of Services

All our offers are non-binding. All information provided in brochures, advertising materials, or on our website is subject to change.

The price and scope of services valid at the time of purchase apply to the respective ticket.

The individual services covered by each ticket are provided by legally independent companies. The company selling the ticket acts solely as an agent for the others. Therefore, any claims (e.g., relating to slope safety or transport) must be directed to the company responsible for the ski area in which an incident occurs.

As is common and well known throughout the Alpine region, not all lifts or slopes of every cable car company are always open at all times. Minor restrictions may occur each year, yet the majority of services remain available in any case.

Exchange, Refunds, Loss

No refund claims exist in cases of external influences beyond the operator’s control, such as bad weather (strong winds, insufficient or excessive snow), early departure, illness, avalanche danger, overcrowding, failure or interruption of facilities (e.g. due to maintenance), damage to facilities, or official closures (e.g. due to epidemics).

No (partial) refund can be claimed if the operator is ready to provide services but the customer chooses not to make use of them for personal reasons.

Special Cases: Sports Accidents and Illness

In the event of a ski accident or illness, refunds may be granted as a goodwill gesture; however, there is no legal entitlement.

Only the unused ski days, starting from the date of the accident or illness, will be refunded.

To claim a refund, a medical certificate must be submitted within three days after the accident or hospital discharge. Later claims cannot be considered.

Complaints must be made in person at the operator’s customer service office or ticket counter, by email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., or in writing to: Ankogel Bergbahnen BE GmbH, Stappitz 87, 9822 Mallnitz.

Lost tickets will be replaced upon presentation of the original receipt for a processing fee of EUR 15.00 plus the applicable deposit fee according to the current price list.

Restrictions Due to the Global COVID-19 Pandemic

According to the current COVID-19 regulations and measures.

Mountain and Slope Rescue

Sports accidents must be reported to the nearest lift station or to the operator’s slope rescue service at +43 (0)4784 632, or to the Austrian Mountain Rescue Service at 140.

The deployment of the slope rescue service by the operator is subject to a fee and not included in the ticket price. A flat rate of EUR 150.00 will be charged to the customer.

Controls

Transport is only permitted with a valid ticket and after an access control has been carried out.

Tickets must be presented to lift staff upon request and handed over if necessary for verification. Refusal to comply may result in the ticket being blocked and transport denied.

Tickets used improperly (e.g., disregard of safety instructions, use of a discounted ticket without eligibility, or use of another customer’s ticket) will be withdrawn without replacement.

Discounts

Proof of eligibility for discounted tickets must be presented unprompted at purchase and upon request to lift personnel, together with valid photo ID.

Pedestrian tickets in winter are only issued to guests without winter sports equipment.

Chip Cards

Tickets are usually issued on chip cards with a deposit fee of currently EUR 5.00. Refunds for undamaged and functional chip cards are made at one of our ticket offices. In some sales points, disposable Keytix cards are issued instead – no deposit fee applies for these. In online sales, different chip card fees may apply depending on the provider.

Transport Conditions and Slope Rules

The transport conditions and regulations posted at the respective cable car facilities form part of the transport contract.

All posted regulations, laws, and FIS slope rules must be observed, as well as any instructions and barriers set up by the lift staff.

Violation of these rules may result in exclusion from transport and the withdrawal of the ticket without compensation.

Contract Duration and Liability

The transport contract applies only to the use of the open areas (lifts, slopes, ski routes, etc.) during the announced operating hours (daytime or evening operation). Contractual claims exist only for these periods and open areas. After operating hours, maintenance work (e.g. use of snow groomers and winches) takes place, during which obstacles (e.g. cables, hoses) may be present on slopes, creating serious hazards. Outside operating hours, no safety measures are in effect.

Liability exists – during operating hours – only for the marked slopes and lift areas. In open terrain, the customer moves entirely at their own risk. No safety measures (e.g. closures, inspections) are taken there. Any measures that may occasionally be in place are voluntary and do not create future obligations.

Applicable Law

These T&Cs are governed by the laws of the Republic of Austria, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.

Other Provisions

If any provision of these T&Cs is or becomes invalid or unenforceable, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.

A ticket may not be transferred or resold to third parties without prior written consent from the selling company.

Liability

The operator’s liability for minor negligence is excluded, except in the case of personal injury. The customer acknowledges that maintenance work, such as the use of snow groomers and winches, takes place outside operating hours. For this reason, staying on the slopes outside official hours is strictly prohibited.

Data Protection

When purchasing personalized tickets, the operator processes the customer’s personal data – namely first and last name, title, date of birth, postal and email address, and in some cases photo and credit card or bank details – for the purpose of issuing and securely using these tickets.

Miscellaneous

The operator reserves the right to change tariffs, operating hours, and these T&Cs, as well as to correct errors and omissions.
